I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been a huge support to me and Mel. We've had so many people send letters, emails and cards of encouragement, provide us with additional resources, send us special gifts for us and Nathaniel, lend a listening ear, watch the boys for us and most importantly continue to pray for our family. We are so grateful. I realize I haven't been able to thank everyone personally and for that I apologize. Please know that your support has been greatly appreciated. We couldn't walk this journey without the love and encouragement from family, friends and even strangers who have all given us strength.

Yesterday, my good friend Cari passed away after battling an aggressive form of breast cancer for two years. My heart feels heavy and the tears come quickly. She was an incredible friend and I feel so blessed to have known her.
Her love for life and her determination has been an inspiration to so many.
