We waited at the Brooklyn Park armory for about two hours. It was hot and humid and the anticipation was almost unbearable.
Mel called from someone's cell phone saying they were about 20 minutes away. I could tell he was anxious and nervous. He didn't want a lot of hoopla and just wanted to get off the bus and find us and go home.

They had a short formation and Jacob was the first to spot Mel. Just to catch glimpse of him and to know this was real was incredible.

Seeing the boys embrace their dad was wonderful.
Going home together.
