Last night we went to the Minnesota/Santa Clara men's basketball game. Before we left the house, Jacob refused to wear his Santa Clara shirt and said he was going to root for the Gophers. After a lot of convincing, he reluctantly put it on, but he insisted he was going to cheer for Minnesota.
We sat two rows behind the Santa Clara bench and everyone had a great time.
The boys were very entertained by Goldy, snacks, a travel Magna Doodle, and oh yeah, the game too! Kyle made his debut on the Jumbo tron screen. The camera captured him totally engrossed in the ice cream he was eating.
Toward the end of the first half, the Broncos were down by about 14 points and Jacob said, "See, I told you I should have rooted for the Gophers. They're the winning team!"
Unfortunately, the final score was Minnesota 68, Santa Clara 50. Win or lose, it was still a fun time.
