A little history and Halloween

Yesterday we went to the National Infantry Museum in Columbus. The museum is really interesting and well done and I'm not a history buff. The kids enjoyed the exhibits as well. Jacob even got to try the army simulator and shot a M16 rifle. He hit 3 of 20 targets.


Last night the boys trick or treated in the new neighborhood. Jacob dressed up as a ghost and Kyle was a knight. He was suppose to be a Super Lizard, but had a costume change right before we left. What a treat to walk outside in just a sweatshirt on Halloween. And then it started to rain. The kids still had fun and they moved a little quicker between the houses.

Today we drove up to Warm Springs, the hometown of Franklin Roosevelt. We saw the house Roosevelt and his family lived in, had lunch, stopped in a few shops along mainstreet, had ice cream and fudge and then headed home. It was a great Sunday afternoon and a pretty drive there and back.
